Olive - Grey Green Redcolloured Lorikeet.

The Olive - Grey Green Redcolloured is one of those colours that really enhances the natural colours of the orange on the chest, the blue on the head and the yellow on the thighs.

It is a spectacular bird in it own right and is still not bred in big numbers despite that it has been around for some time now.

This colour played its roll in the establishment of the Mustard Redcolloured ones it was crossed over to the Cinnamon Redcolloured

This mutation is of a Single Dominant factor gene patent.

The Dominant gene for the Grey Green/Olive.

This gene is fairly simple:
When bred to a normal it either shows the colour up or it doesn't.

That means, any bird that doesn't show this colour gene,
will not carry the colour gene.

So this bird bred to a Normal shows either the colour or not and
there are no splits involved.

Breeding results can vary but will go close to:

Grey Green X Normal =
50% Grey Green + 50% Normal

and there are no splits involved.
